WPP Partnership Education and Research Committee announces new leadership

The Wisconsin Partnership Program has announced that  Anjon Audhya, PhD, senior associate dean for basic research, biotechnology and graduate studies at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, will serve as the next chair of the Wisconsin Partnership Program’s (WPP) Partnership Education and Research Committee (PERC).

Audhya’s appointment is effective October 1, 2023. He follows Richard Moss, PhD, professor emeritus of cell and regenerative biology and retired UW School of Medicine and Public Health senior associate dean.

As chair, Audhya will guide the committee in supporting innovative education and training initiatives and novel research across the spectrum of basic, clinical, translational and population health sciences to advance the missions of both WPP and the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. He will lead a committee comprised of school leaders, faculty, staff and others responsible for distributing funds designated for education and research initiatives.

“Dr. Audhya brings outstanding leadership skills, expertise and a remarkable record of successful collaborations and partnerships to his role as PERC chair,” said Amy Kind, MD, PhD, UW School of Medicine and Public Health associate dean for social health sciences and programs and executive director of the Wisconsin Partnership Program.

“On behalf of the Wisconsin Partnership Program, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Moss for his tremendous leadership and commitment to the Wisconsin Partnership Program,” said Kind. “For nearly twenty years Dr. Moss has played a key role in shaping and executing innovative initiatives and faculty grant programs to positively impact health and health care for the people of Wisconsin. We are grateful for his service.”

The Wisconsin Partnership Program is governed by two committees, the Oversight and Advisory Committee (OAC) and the Partnership Education and Research Committee. The OAC directs and approves funds for public health initiatives and provides public representation through the committee’s four community members. PERC allocates and distributes funds designated for medical education and research initiatives that advance population health.
