Committees

The work of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health’s Wisconsin Partnership Program is carried out by its two governance committees: the Oversight and Advisory Committee (OAC) and the Partnership Education and Research Committee (PERC). Together the committees and program staff work towards the Wisconsin Partnership Program’s vision of making Wisconsin a healthier state for all.

The committees provide oversight advice and programmatic balance, and emphasize innovation, creativity and excellence in processes for awarding grants and evaluating outcomes. Committee members carefully exercise their fiduciary responsibilities with keen awareness of the high expectations for the Wisconsin Partnership Program to improve the health of Wisconsin.

  • The Partnership Education and Research Committee allocates and distributes funds designated for medical education and research initiatives that advance population health
  • The Oversight and Advisory Committee’s primary responsibilities are to direct and approve funds for public health initiatives, provide public representation through the committee’s four community members, and to comment and advise on the expenditures of the Partnership Education and Research Committee
