Wisconsin Partnership Program accepting applications for New Investigator funding opportunity
The Wisconsin Partnership Program at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health invites eligible faculty to submit a preliminary application for a New Investigator Program grant. Awards are up to $150,000 over two years. Preliminary applications are due August 16, 2023.
Through this grant program, the Wisconsin Partnership Program supports early-career faculty to initiate innovative research and education projects to improve health and health care and to advance health equity in Wisconsin.
A Principal Investigator is required and must be a UW School of Medicine and Public Health assistant professor with a salaried appointment of at least 50 percent. Please see the request for proposals for full eligibility requirements.
The New Investigator Program supports research and education projects spanning the basic, clinical, translational and population health sciences. To date, this grant program has contributed to launching the careers of 79 UW School of Medicine and Public Health assistant professors through grants totaling $8.5 million.
Eligible faculty in basic science and clinical science departments across the UW School of Medicine and Public Health are encouraged to apply.
The Wisconsin Partnership Program’s Partnership Education and Research Committee plans to fund up to four projects.
