Ashley Benitez, MPH, is the communications project assistant for the Wisconsin Partnership Program. In this role, Ashley works to support the communications team by developing and managing content to support WPP grant programs and to highlight the progress, impact and achievements of grant recipients.

Ashley is currently a PhD student in the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) Population Health Sciences Department. She previously received her Master of Public Health (MPH), Bachelor of Science in neurobiology and a certificate in global health from UW–Madison. Prior to this role, she worked as an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Maria Mora Pinzon under Dr. Mora Pinzon’s WPP COVID-19 Response Grant. She later joined Dr. Mora Pinzon’s emerging lab, Remembering Together, at the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute. While pursuing her MPH degree, Ashley supported the Division of Infectious Diseases, working in Dr. Ryan Westergaard’s lab and focusing on HIV care.
