Dr. Anderson is an associate professor in the Department of Medical Genetics in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. His research focuses on how genetic diversity contributes to variation in species population. This includes topics of importance to American Indian/Alaskan Native communities that intersect with microbial systems and working to empowering Indigenous communities, including through the establishment of the Tribal Data Repository.

Both Dr. Anderson’s and Dr. Williams’ background and expertise will help guide PERC in its work to support medical education and research initiatives in the school. The Wisconsin Partnership Program is pleased to welcome them to the committee.

The Wisconsin Partnership Program is governed by two committees, the Oversight and Advisory Committee (OAC) and the Partnership Education and Research Committee (PERC). OAC directs and approves funds for public health initiatives and provides public representation through the committee’s four community members. PERC allocates and distributes funds designated for medical education and research initiatives that advance population health.
