Incontinence is surprisingly common, but hardly anyone wants to talk about it. Heidi Brown, an assistant professor in the School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting 120 women in Wisconsin to test an educational program that explores the causes, prevention and treatment of incontinence—both fecal and urinary. The results of her study, named Mind Over Matter, may help many women improve without surgery or medicine. Research related to the study is funded by the Wisconsin Partnership program.
